In Nigeria, large quantities of agricultural wastes rich in cellulose are generated annually. This project explores the use of non-woody fibres such as corn stalks, bagasse, rice straw, and plantain or pineapple leaves as sustainable raw materials for paper and tissue production, reducing dependence on imported pulp.
