Project Overview
The RMRDC Digital Archive and E-Library System was initiated to modernize and centralize the Council’s knowledge management infrastructure, ensuring seamless access to research outputs, publications, technical reports, and patent information. The project leverages digital technologies to create an online repository that facilitates efficient storage, retrieval, and dissemination of information to researchers, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the public. By transitioning from a paper-based archive to a fully digital platform, the system enhances data security, preservation, and accessibility while supporting the Council’s mandate of promoting industrial research and development across Nigeria.
Objectives:
To digitize all existing RMRDC research publications, reports, and technical documents.To provide advanced search, categorization, and indexing features for efficient knowledge retrieval.
To safeguard intellectual property and sensitive research data through secure digital storage.
To promote knowledge sharing and facilitate evidence-based decision-making in industrial development.

Status: 75% completed — majority of historical publications digitized; e-library platform development in progress, testing and user onboarding scheduled.
