TEA AND COFFEE

As part of its boosting programme on agricultural raw materials for industrial use, the Council presented five thousand seedlings of tea to the National Coffee and Tea Association of Nigeria (NACTAN), Mambila, Taraba State Chapter. The Council, in collaboration with a private sector organization, also developed an equipment for tea processing which was presented to NACTAN. Through the efforts of the Council, a multi-national corporation and an indigenous company that were hitherto importing tea, are now sourcing their tea locally
